With its simple title hook you’d be forgiven for thinking this was somewhat inspired by Green Velvet’s ‘La La Land’. It may well have been, but that’s where the comparison ends. Former Subliminal producer Richard Fite with the vocal support of Michael ‘That Sound’ Moog has created a big room electrophonic phonk monster that oozes energy from the sweeping synths to the bombastic beats; the Chock Full o’ Nutz mixes in particular adding a real ‘Shiny Disco Balls’ vibe to proceedings. Having already rocked Miami, the promise of a full vocal hook being added will mean a major label deal can’t be too far behind. What would Morrissey make of it all?
