If you’ve been listening to House music any time in say the past twenty years then Robert Owens needs no introduction. And thankfully this latest album from the voice behind the story keeps the music feeling bang up to date with a set of collaborations with the likes of everyone from Wahoo to Charles Webster and Ian Pooley. Robert’s vocals are always at their most powerful when he struggles with emotions on the tougher side of life and there is plenty of evidence of that here, but there are also lighter moments and varying tempos for a rewarding variation on the themes. As I can’t really say that there’s a weak track on here this definitely makes for long playing quality listening.
