ROCKERS HI-FI
PUSH PUSH
GREAT STUFF

After giving a new lease of life to Whirlpool Productions’ ‘From Disco To Disco’, Great Stuff is now resurrecting another lost gem. Those old enough might remember Rockers Hi-Fi’s ‘Push Push’, an inspired cult anthem from the mid-nineties, a time when prog pioneers such as Leftfield were giving reggae a futuristic run for its money. As it happens the track was always a M.A.N.D.Y. fave so the pair jumped at the chance of crafting a contemporary reinterpretation. With enough of the original breakdown and spirit intact (delicious lovers rock vocals and keys), their re-rub pays homage without making a fuss (also Oliver Koletzki & Florian Meindl, Lexy re-rubs).
