Roy Ayres. Now there’s a name that needs little introduction having been one of the key figurers in jazzy, soulful music for more than a few decades now.
So when you look at the remixes credits and its Kenny Dope and DJ Spinna then you know you’re onto a good thing. The Dope man does what he does best with a percussion-fuelled production sounding typically huge. It’s also good to hear his down tempo versions that highlight the vocals more. Meanwhile DJ Spinna injects more energy into his take with a funky drum break that allows plenty of room for Roy Ayres masterful playing. Quality stuff.
