Two of house music’s heavyweights have joined forces for this package for Toolroom. It’s no surprising that it sounds fantastic, as both of them have a studio CV as long as a gorilla’s arm. The tracks seek to marry cutting edge minimal sounds and groove by the likes of Gabriel Ananda with the UK tribal sound that first made D Ramirez famous. The results are stunning with the main track sounding like a beefed up version of Ame’s “Rej”. ‘System’ is elegantly stripped back and ready to rock the after party and our favourite track “Throb” builds and builds to a crazy head of steam.
