Search DiP feat. Amy Lyon – Forget You EP

The always on-point label Matter of Fact is back with a compelling new EP from Romanian producer Search Dip, who has previously released on labels like ALiVE and others. Said producer turns out one fresh original and the remixes come from PAO, Mercury and Wonderklubb.

In original form the track, ‘Forget You’, featuring the airy vocals of Amy Lyon, is a captivating vocal house tune with a dirty low-down bassline and a plenty of nocturnal grit. The title’s refrain gets repeated over and over and really works its way into your brain. The remix from Mercury is a much quicker, tougher and ravier affair with horn stabs and barrelling beats and PAO goes for a darkly melodic and hypnotic rework. It’s a moody brew for sure, with searching synths cutting through it at various stages and finally, Wonderklubb turns in a skipping, nu garage leaning track with crazy neon tones and lively drums. A tidy package overall, then.
