Another corker pops up from the sublime Staring Into Space album. It’s testimony to the albums brilliance that this is about the fourth cut to be plucked from the squirrel’s swinging nutsack for single status. It’s house heaven, early 90s New York style [an oft-derided genre back then, actually]. The dominant riff is Robin S’s early 90s smash ‘Show Me Love’ – then numbered ‘handbag’ by some quarters. But that familiar organ motif is stretched, spaced and heightened amidst the usual S.S. sonic voyaging. Then along comes Sweden’s Martinez to extend and magnify the euphoric buzz via swooshing fx and electronic groove hypnosis. Simple dancefloor annihilation. As the werewolf would say, Arroooo!!!
