SONS AND DAUGHTERS
DANCE ME IN/LA LUNE REMIXES
DOMINO

This live-sound-meets-club-vibe is cleaning up in dance-land right now as clubbers get mortally bored of the generic electronic sounds of yester-year (zzzz). So a hearty welcome indeed to JD Twitch and JG Wilkes and their mighty mix of Glasgow’s Sons and Daughters  “Dance me in”. The mix leans heavily on the original with war-chant vocal and dirrrrty bass positively oozing an indie-rock feel; but with 4/4 kick and stylish breakdown the tune mutates into nothing short of a cross-over monster. Naum Gabo’s mix of “La Lune” on the flip goes for a well-produced but altogether more experimental groove, but the money-shot remains the aforementioned A-side. If Erol Alkan’s re-work of Franz Ferdinand’s “Do you want to” set your dance-floors ablaze like it did mine, then this is its bastard son. Tasty.
