I’m not sure the word “bomb” in anything these days in a wise move, even in a simple old song title, but if you’re looking for explosive nouns it’s as good as any to describe this funked-up retro dancer. Stretch Sylvester and Ben Macklin’s latest alter ego delivers a chunky house instrumental offering that employs all that’s good from the current club scene, while peppering the track with choice reference points (horn stabs, slap bass and such like). Could that even be a Gibson Brothers sample lurking in the shadows?
