Two killer retro disco delights that whilst working obvious sample sources, do it exceedingly well. Like the recent Aaron Perez material this treads a familiar path with a twist of French filters and chunky house beats (although they’re actually created by Italian’s Nello Simioli and Peppe Black). ‘In the Disco’ takes its line from Sister Sledges’ ‘He’s The Greatest Dancer’ and chops, cuts, filters and flanges it back and forth to get all the girls’ arms a waving. Similarly, ‘Off The Wall’ (mixed by Noferini & Marini) reimagines Michael Jackson’s standard of the same name to equally euphoric effect, and even though both have been done more times then this aging reviewer can remember, there is still enough originality here to make them once more worthy of your attention.
