The original group of London tearaways are still knocking ‘em for six, even though they’ve been at it for over forty years. Every now & again a Rolling Stones record comes along that just completely bowls you over, well ‘Rain Fall Down’ is without doubt one of those records. Ashley Beedle is the man responsible for this set of spot on mixes, laying down a wicked funky groove, that moves & shakes somewhere between The Blackbirds & The Stereo MC’s, whilst irresistible guitar riffs & licks turn up the heat, & Curtis Mayfield styled strings pile on the ghetto atmospherics, complementing one of the best vocals Mick Jagger has done since ‘Fool To Cry’ & ‘Angie’, ‘Rain Fall Down’ is up there alongside ‘Miss You’.
