PERMISSION TO FLY
DARKROOM DUBS

Silicone Soul’s personal label continues its unbreakable string of goodies by showcasing Argentinean duo Fernando Pulichino and Julian Sanza’s sublime contribution to the superlative ‘Darkroom Dubs’ compilation. The title track kicks off with its gliding marriage between jazz-funk guitar and electro-clash riffage. ‘The Cowboy’ rides the time-honoured chords which have graced many a house and techno classic, notably Sulphuric’s ‘Better Come Together’ in ’92. Halfway in, syndrums and deep Moroder-in-Detroit synths enter the fray. ‘Bomba’ – not the Jah Wobble classic goes total early 80s New york boogie witrh especially fine and funky bass guitar in the engine room.
