TIGA
(FAR FROM) HOME
DIFFERENT/PIAS/WALL OF SOUND

Tiga first came to the world’s attention a few years back, when International DeeJay Gigolos released his debut single, a cover of Corey Hart’s ‘Sunglasses At Night’, turning it from a naff 80’s tune, into a cool electro classic with cult status. Since then heâs remixed everyone thatâs anyone & made his debut album ‘Sexor’ with David & Stephen Dewaelle aka Soulwax. ‘(Far From) Home’ is lifted from the critically acclaimed ‘Sexor’, and is a slice of instant electro pop that’s got feel good day time radio written all over it. Kids TV & Top Of The Pops beckons. There’s a top set of remixes here, including the ‘Speed Of Sexor Reprise’, which is Tiga & Soulwax’s own reinterpretation, turning ‘(Far From) Home’ into a club anthem, & youâll be giving it loads of ‘Uh! Uh! Uh!’ Before you even know it. Digitalism pile on the distortion & go for a full on pogo disco assault, while DFA go on a funky route, getting a tad ‘Clockwork Orange’ along the way. Last but by no means least, Chicken Lips do their disco-tastic Dub Deluxe thang, with ever changing percussion & a driving bassline. ‘(Far From) Home’ is a bumper package that should see Tiga riding the mainstream.
