Kicking off with, ‘Hypnotic’ this three track release explores the different avenues of House via the mind of Timo Gracia. The vocal states, ‘It’s all about repetition, putting you in a trance’ which I guess it is now. However, this arrangement of hands-in-the-air basslines and energetic beats is nothing short of electrifying i.e. suitably infused for a big room response. The remaining two tracks are in a different league altogether beginning with, ‘Zoot’ which combines undulating tech stabs alongside an imaginative array of sounds, not least of all the heavy percussion and mind altering, jazzy trumpet and piano. ‘Ode To Chicago’ follows in a rush of excitement as looped funky guitar is offset by washes of emotive analogue pads and ecstatic voices qualifying the nod back to the source. Outstanding.
