There was a time when you couldn’t escape the sound of Todd Terry and his impact from back then still reverberates today. This track originally appeared in 1994 causing quite a stir with Terry’s trippy repetition and skippy beats proving hard to resist. This new set of remixes, and there are quite a few of them, thankfully don’t try to replicate the past but re-imagine it for today. Dzeta N’ Basile rework the signature vocal over pumping House rhythms and warped synths most effectively, while conversely the Hector Remix bangs it out full-on. JustMe add hot tribal drums to the equation, leaving L Jones & G Herlihy to get energetic and tech on theirs as does Leftwing & Kody, plus Mineo. Noah Pred perhaps delivers one of the most atmospheric versions however with reverberating effects drifting over the crunchy snares most effectively. All good remixes for sure, just depends on your style.
