Toronto’s My Favorite Robot follow on with an exploration of money and greed on this effortlessly funky production whose clash of tones, as always, feels fresh yet unnerving. Spanish duo V.Rotz and Photoclick aka T.W.I.C.E combine chiming chords and muscular bass notes to create an intriguing, atmospheric production on Simply Awakening. Their Criminal Minds Mix follows even more impressively with seductive, deep bass and thumping beats adding tension to the whispering voices. Next, Play The Game provides an exercise in classic drum machines with a teasing selection of sounds alongside rich ambience. The Emerson Todd Remix of the same rounds off with a bouncy flavour and a more vigorous rhythm section.
