It’s rare that we come across an EP that makes the hairs stand up on the back of our neck and is also one that’ll proverbially slay any dancefloor. But then Underlord’s ‘U Crazy F*ck’ is far from your average EP. A release that spans a whole host of genres and moods, it kicks off with the title track which is the most mental of the lot. In fact, it’s so mental that it’s almost hard to articulate, possibly because it takes us off on so many different paths. A brilliant tale of the ying and the yang, it’s most definitely sure to send any crowd into overdrive. Next up on the EP is the sounds of. ‘Superfat’. All 8-bit sounds and bulbous bassline, it’s another quality offering. This one is more consistent, keeping to a dizzying house theme that’s full of feel-good vibes. Having already garnered plays from some of the scene’s big guns, this is a special release that’s sure to entice plenty over the summer months especially. Hats off to Underlord and his Exploding Chicken label for a job very well done.
