Vanilla Ace Sugar Hill & Wasabi – Disco Shit

Tropical Heat is a new sub-label of Erase Records and its newest single is a feel good scorcher from Vanilla Ace, Sugar Hill and Wasabi, a (predominantly) American dream team that between them have released on labels like OFF, Suara and Toolroom. And as soon as you’ve stumbled over this little gem, you’ll understand just why that is indeed the case.

The track that makes up this new release is entitled ‘Disco Shit’ but is by no means just that. On the contrary, it is the sort of fulsome, cheery and super dancey disco house tune that will light up terraces, beach and boat parties all summer long. Slinky percussion, dazzling chords and a diva vocal all make it a colourful and attention grabbing hit in the making, while trainspotters amongst you are sure to watch out for that vocal. All in all, it’s enticing stuff from a trio. Sometimes too many cooks spoil the broth – but luckily no such misgivings taint this one.
