If synth bleeps and spoken vocals make you wig out like a steroid pumped robot, then ‘Spandex’ is about to make your head explode like a watermelon on a firing range. It’s a stripped down groove with wavering synths and puddle-jump splashy snares and hi-hats that will have the nu-voguers and nu-housers battling it out on the dancefloor for all they’re worth. It’s lyrically cute (Superted, Heman, Shera, Power Rangers are all name checked) a lot of fun and has a fabulous groove. File with Hannah Wants’ ‘Rhymes’.
