Carnival tracks often work wonders on the dancefloor (‘Belo Horizonti’, Good Men, DJ Dero…) and ‘A Pompa Girou’ is no different. What’s really doing it here is the combination of great Brazilian samples and grinding electro b-line, kinda Switch in light mood (and a little less groundbreaking). The same scenario applies to ‘Te Quiero’, which starts off in total confusion and eventually turns all latin. Now that’s proper forward-thinking jazz.
