Hybrasil – Glorify EP (Kenja Records) (22/05)

There can be no one busier than Hybrasil right now. The Irish producer is firing out the tunes left right and centre. He runs his own label, and has linked with Break New Soil – the label run by Gregor Tresher – and intacto among many others. He has a big room techno sound that is on point and well produced, as proven here across three new jams.

Glorify goes first and is a big, bouncy but heavy number with rock solid kicks and razor sharp high hats. Dark vocals add intensity and its one to play early doors and get the floor warmed up. Kepler is over six minutes of tense and nervy deep techno with mid tempo drums and edgy, angst ridden chords bring the pressure. It’s suspenseful throughout and traps you in the groove in stylish ways. The last original is busier and freakier, with modulated synths gurgling about and bring real energy to the table. It’s then Glorify that gets remixed by Rhymos. He does so with a more laid-back and zoned out house groove. His drums tumble and flutter about in loose fashion and this one just rolls for days. With plenty of gigs line-up at some huge Ibiza parties this summer, Hybrasil is sure to kick on in 2017.

Glorify EP is out 22nd May 2017! Pre-order it here:
