Sooo WET is a new label that promises plenty. It kicks off with a tasty and playful EP from Joluca that comes with fresh summer artwork and packs a real punch across four key cuts.
Believe Me kicks off in vibes house style with a rasping, bulbous bassline, well swung drums and airy vocals that add a sensual feel. It’s a fun track with fine production values and lots of easy to love appeal. You Came Along is more heavyweight, with slow and solid drums making a louche and bumpy vibe before yet more great diva vocals explode up top. The percussion is loose and the whole thing feels warm and authentic. Club Japan settles quickly into a smooth and shuffling groove and is then joined by a great organ-like bassline that brings us back to the 90s. Male vox up top add some heat and sexiness and again this is an effective house cut that adds real charm to any set. Last of all, Tough Love is a freaky cut with punchy rubber drums, weird synth smears and a freaky feeling that will pop right off in the club. This is a killer EP to kick off a new label and announces it in real style.
