Fernando Mendoza aka The Funk District’s Mandrill Cuts has a superb approach when it comes to the release strategy of the label. It doesn’t put out too many tracks (it has now reached its 15th offering), therefore the quality of the productions released is always very high. In 2021 Mendoza starts the schedule with an uprising talent and stunning producer from Querétaro / México: ‘Kristoff MX’ a.k.a Christopher E. de los Monteros. With a previous release on Mango Sounds and a forthcoming one on Super Spicy Records he hits Mandrill Cuts for the first time with an ultra funkee two tracker. For those of you who like their Disco an an African style, ‘FAWL’ and ‘Nigerian Flava’ which are filled with saxophone solos, conga -driven grooves and flawless powerful basslines, will be very suitable.
