When it comes to superb sounding Disco, there is only a handful of people who are able to deliver the goods in the here and now carrying on the legacy of guys like Walter Gibbons or Larry Levan. One of them surely is UK’s finest Ashley Beedle, who breathes and lives Disco for some decades. He’s been hired for re-interpreting Korean’s man of soul Kyle Kim’s cover of the 1979 Delegation classic ‘Heartache No 9’.What you get is a slice of no nonsense REAL midtempo Disco, that comes very close to the timeless Original in terms of production and instrumentation on the brilliant Ashley Beedle mixes. Kyle Kim’s Original is in a similar vein, while label honcho Luyo gets his creative hands on the acapella and baking a deeper yet soulful remix and Deeper Dub. Superb package!
