Celebration are a Baltimore based three piece, reviving and rejuvinating that post punk meets afro beat sound from the happening clubs of the early 80’s, as “Hands Off My Gold” transports you back to those speed & Special Brew fueled nights of Le Beat Route and The Wag. If Talking Heads, The Slits and James White & The Blacks or James Chance & The Contortions got together… Simian Mobile Disco deliver a groovy pulsing remix, with flourishes of Kraftwerk and Yellow Magic Orchestra flying over Bobby O disco rhythms and slightly spun out vocals. The Shoreditch massive will be happy with that.
