A song whose opening line talks of ‘bicycles inside your skull’ should never be taken too seriously, and so it is that the new single from Tunng is lyrically fun and musically carefree. They intersect the boundary of folk and down tempo electronica, meaning the outdoor unison vocals get put through with pre-programmed beats to good effect, not losing their freshness. And, to top this, ‘Bricks’ has a good chorus, which bodes well for the forthcoming album ‘Good Arrows’.
