DELETE THE FROG EP
COOKSHOP

Brighton’s Alex Wilford builds on the success of his “We Always Have Been” debut for Cookshop with another EP of superbly varied sounds, chief pick of which is definitely “Caught Ya Wrecker”.  Employing hip-grinding beats and a hefty bassline, it’s the kind of groove that immediately gravitates people in the direction of the dancefloor, even before the amazing fiddle playing kicks the whole show up a gear, giving it that “what the hell is this?” factor.  “Chew On This” increases the tempo for some prime-time dirty disco action, Idjut style, whilst the title cut displays a fine understanding of the dynamics of the kazoo.  Remixes of “Delete The Frog” & “Caught Ya Wrecker” up the VFM factor.  Not that any were needed, as the original version of “Caught Ya Wrecker” is reason alone to buy, and will no doubt soundtrack one or two festivals this year.  A must have.
