Fan Death
A Coin For The Well
The Pharmacy Recording Company

After the release and success of their debut single “Veronica’s Veil” through Erol Alkan’s Phantasy label, Universal Records immediately signed up Dandilion Wind Opaine & Marta Jacuibek aka Fan Death and put them on their new label The Pharmacy Recording Company, and alongside producer Szam Findlay and DFA’s Eric Broucek it was straight into the studio. “A Coin For The Well” is the first fruits from the sessions, a five track EP that shows Fan Death ain’t no flash in the pan. Lead track “Reunited” is a happening slice of modern pop that’s got a certain early New Order feel and some great Cure inspired guitar riffs, that complement the vocals like they were made for each other, and another highlight “Cannibal” comes over like The Yellow Magic Orchestra goes disco, before developing into Aneka flavoured electro pop. Fan Death are set for big things in 2010, watch this space.
