Right then, what we‚ve got here is a triple set of 1 sided white label 12”s, all are Gorillaz songs remixed, and at the moment it looks like they’re not going to be released. My god, I can already hear the rustle of notepads amongst the beardy skater types, getting ready to search ebay or their local Record Exchange. First up we‚ve got Brighton’s Metronomy, adding his sea shanty shenanigans to ‘El Manana’, which soars & spins out of control, showing just exactly why he is thee remixer about town at the moment. Hot Chip tackle ‘Kids With Guns’, turning in a nice soft electro disco number. Jamie T also takes on ‘KWG’, giving it a chave feel and adding his own vocals, then re-naming it ‘Turn To Monsters’, and believe me, it’s scary. An interesting and out there set of mixes.
