This turned up on vinyl which always counts in a record’s favour so it’s a bonus that the music is pretty fine too. Trailering upcoming album A Life Of Consummate Ease and released on Manchester’s ATIC Records, the four tracks injects cool jazz flavours in a variety of contexts from the dub-house of ‘I Love You’ to the piano-trumpet-snare workout of ‘The Interpreter’. ‘Re-Action’ injects breaks action, somewhat recalling Primal Scream’s Vanishing Point phase before ‘Zombie’ plants the horns in a space blender, again with floor-friendly flow. Look forward to the album.
