Kenneth Bager Featuring Gisli
Fragment One (And I Keep Hearing)
Music For Dreams

This lazy afternoon whistling Balearic stroller which sounded like a cross
between a 70s detective show theme and 60s soft-porn frolic was one of the
highlights from the mighty Mr Bager’s wonderful Fragments From A Space Cadet
album of last year. Now it’s been reactivated with a gamut of gorgeous new
treatments. The Glimmers kick off with the perfect club version, adding a
contagious shuffling groove, carefully placing the essential elements with
lots of space between them until tradesmen’s entrance collides with
tent-pole by which time the floor will be entranced. Henrik Christiansen and
Morton Wilken aka Robot Coupe go for the floater with jittering, shadowy
pulses and sheep farts [plus spaced dub]. Per Ebdrup aka Jazzbox skanks over
a dismembered which gains momentum into a swinging double-bass lope with
Fender Rhodes. Jerry Dimmer uses the full vocal over a light hiphop vamp.
Just right for the hot weather!
