The first peek at what the new album holds and what a return it is. “Breathe” features a delicate performance from Fontella Bass, the music gently floating around her voice, allowing it room to gradually build along with the natural emotion and progression of the song. Inspirational listening. “Colours” & “To Build A Home” are more abstract in composition, fitting in with the idea of the album’s (“Ma Fleur”) concept of an imaginary film score. Like welcoming back a long lost friend, Jason Swinscoe is an amazing musician.
