Bristol’s Giant Lobster club is a celebration of pure unadulterated fun, with musical barriers not only pushed but blown to bits. Club-runners The Outlaws are responsible for the rive tingly brilliant album, ’Too Many Fools Following Too Many Rules’, of which this EP offers a taste – plus more! The Outlaws’ basic premise is the bootleg principle taken to its utmost level of audacity with nothing but the party in mind. Hence, ’Walk With Kelis’ marries ’Milkshake’ with Fatboy Slim, Chemical Donor shafts the Chemical Brothers with DJ Shadow and ’I Feel Higher’ plops Josh Wink’s acid orgasm over ’I Feel Love’. ’Krafty Egle’ simply takes a 80s style cut-up journey with everyone from JB and Flavour Flav all taking a bow. The same principles of naughtiness and a vibe recalling Coldcut’s Ahead Of Its Time tackle. Rarely has the mix-’n’-match thing been done with such deft aplomb and cheek.
