Their debut album “Lesser Matters” found a lot of friends in the mainstream press keen to start some kind of shoegazing indie revival and, presumably, believing The Radio Dept. would herald this. They may be a bit disappointed with this single, as it’s actually quite sweet and melodic in a Sunday morning relaxing reading the papers kind of way. And they’ll definitely want to avoid “The Things That Went Wrong”, a wilfully electronic influenced studio mess about. Better than the mainstream press would lead you to believe, that’s for sure.
