An acoustic soul-search that might’ve timidly headed for the pile marked rocking chair also-rans, were it not for The Sweet Chap’s breathlessness/holding back of tears being backed by deep bass vibrations and a distanced, uncoiling keyboard. Involvement of elements that are usually kept away from such unplugged grieving ensures ‘Shiver’ quickly sets its stall out to bring out the goosebumps.
