THE YOUNG KNIVES
WEEKENDS AND BLEAK DAYS (HOT SUMMER)
TRANSGRESSIVE

Leicestershire’s much loved geeky trio The Young Knives are easily one of my favourite bands at the moment. Their first couple of singles quite rightly went Top 40, which is not surprising as they write the catchiest pop punk around, with the best lyrics by far. So on to single #3 “Weekends And Bleak Days (Hot Summer)”, is all about skiving in the sunshine and will have you instantly idiot dancing as you sing along, “Pull a sicky, do a runner “Hot summer, what a bummer”. The Young Knives eagerly awaited debut album “Voices Of Animals & Men” is due August 28th, and I can already tell you it’s a winner. In the meantime make sure you catch them live.
