Dino Lenny has gone and done it again, and this time round he’s captured the spirit of 88 and then some. “Still Hope For Jackson” opens with percussive rhythms and a cut up & looped Vincent Price announcing Michael Jackson, then the whole thing drops and in comes the mother of all rave riffs, pretty much guaranteeing cheering and whistling with hands in the air. In comes the bassline and funky rhythms, and it’s like a new take of the Todd Terry classic “Bango (To The Batmobile)”, complete with dialogue samples, only this time they are from The Six Million Dollar Man, “Gentleman we can rebuild him, we have the technology”, shot through with a bit of back in the day Balearic magic. This Is Massive, resistance is futile, enjoy the rush.
