Featuring the much-touted Eska on vocals (she recently rocked it at a recent Gilles Peterson hosted club night), this is a lush, relaxed number that wins from the first opening bars. For major dancefloor rotation, however, it’s the remixes we look to, and we’re not left wanting. Middlefield take the original relaxed vibe into deeper late night territory, whereas Sweet Abraham go the opposite route, treading a broken beat that’s dark and techy to the core. Pick of the bunch, however, is the fantastic future-boogie of Compost’s Alex Attias. Utilising elements of Class Action’s club oldie “Weekend” he keeps the vocal to a mimium and allows the warm and bumpy groove to grind and do it’s thing. An essential release for this mix alone.
