The elusive Whitey is back in the frame with a brand new 4 track EP, wetting our appetites for the forthcoming album ‘Stay On The Outside’. The lead cut on the ‘Made Of Night EP’ is the slightly bonkers ‘Sweet Words For The Sour’, a sort of trashy glam idiot dancer shot through with cheeky paranoia. ‘Not You Again (Non Stop)’ brings The Beta Band, Hot Chip and The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band to mind. Meanwhile over on the flip, title cut ‘Made Of Night’ goes Crammps tripped out rockin’ gothic meets Liberace in sunny surreal Benidorm, and the closing ‘Shaking On A String’ delves into Hillbilly territory. The ever inventive Whitey is having a blast. Who needs rules.
