Adele
Hometown Glory

I caught Adele on the Late Show the other night (the America’s prime late night talk show) and host David Letterman was almost moved to tears by the songstresses empowered performance. The American’s are fast catching up with the new wave of British artists Ð Duffy, Adele, Kate Nash, joining the already accepted ranks of Joss, Lily and Amy that all have their influences steeped in the original sound of young America Ð the Detroit sound of ’60s Motown. ‘Hometown Glory’ finally makes it to the singles schedule lifted from the debutante’s platinum album that is fast approaching the million mark. Soul becomes dance in the capable hands of Axwell who adds his studio savvy in much the same way he transformed Usher’s ‘Burn’ a while back. Lyrical bliss and dancefloor dominance in one seductive package.
