RUI DA SILVA
PACMAN
64

With this 12″ Rui has delivered his best cut for literally ages. Its a homage to all things eighties and arcade, specifically the institution that is Pacman; who’s eight bit bleeps and gurgles are murderously plundered, fattened up considerably and then repeatedly hammered throughout seven minute of bass heavy rave action. Its little more than a groove, but the production is absolutely top notch and once matched up with a large sound system we can testify to its roof raising powers; especially the break down, which is 30 seconds of creeping, crawling “wall of sound” aural attack manoeuvres that will have them climbing the walls. A pity then Ms Pacman and her delicious round bootie don’t make an appearance.
