Together In Electric Dreams EP
Sunday Best

Phil Oakey and the Human League were the epitome of the ’80s, add producer
Giorgio Moroder into the equation and the combination of pop electronica
with kitsch disco values was irresistible. Released in the UK in September
1984, ‘Together In Electric Dreams’ proved a major commercial success
reaching the top three, and ironically eclipsing the original film it was
intended to promote; unfortunately it was the only hit of the brief
Oakey/Moroder partnership. Now Sunday Best have five unique interpretations
of said song, including Kylie’s favourites Kish Mauve with a
Blondie-sounding version and Le Vicarious Bliss Pop Experience (from the Ed
Banger family) with a guitar strummed indie-take featuring Headbangirl over
vintage drum machines. Why you may ask? Who cares, this is a fantastic
homage to one of the ’80s best pop songs.
