Deliciously sleazy and most certainly all in the best possible taste comes this latest outing from the ever excellent Marc Houle. ‘I Don’t Want To Watch You Read’ says more than words as the slightly sinister eighties imagery is conjured up exquisitely care off sizzling synthesizers alongside a suitably smoky, late-night vocal. Remixes from Golden Filter and Red Axes both hit target with the pulsating beats plus edgy textures of the former complimenting the fuzzy, dubbed-out electronics of the later most effectively. Which only then leaves the high-energy rhythms of ‘Silver Lining’ to complete the EP.
