Both, producer and multi instrumentalist Michael The Lion and singer Amy Douglas have grown very much not only for my personal taste, they both have come up with top material of late. Amy Douglas being involved in quite a bunch of trax for Defected’s Disco offshoot Glitterbox to name but a few and Michael The Lion putting strong funky music out on labels like Razor N Tape or Soul Clap. After surfacing in its Original Mix in November, ‘Find A Way’, which is powered by an immense vocal hook, now the remixes hit the shelves. To even better things up, the Soul Clap boys have hired NY Disco legend in person, Mr John Morales to polish it all up. As with most of his efforts, John stays true to the Original, adds his trademark drums and extends the most important parts of the track like only he is able to. The vinyl edition also contains a John Morales Dub and an Instrumental on top of it. Even better seems to be the second featured track here, The Morales M&M Mixes of ‘Drink You Up’. Again the vocal is quite hooky-those sweet keys and a bubbling percussion make this track an essential Nu Disco affair. If you like your things a bit more dubby, a Dub is included in the digital release.
