Moon Harbour InHouse Volume 7 (10/06)

Moon Harbour is a real scene leader. The label is now into its 17th year but just keeps on knocking it out of the park. That’s all down to the vision of the label boss, Matthias Tanzmann, who is a Ibiza Dj legend and Circo Loco regular with a very specific but always subtle evolving sound. That sound is tech house and many shades either side.

It is that which dominates the sounds on this next release, a vast 12 track project that is the 7th in the labels long running in house series namely, cleverly enough, In House. It pairs lots of names you know and love that are close with the label with a bunch of new associates including the star studded likes of Anja Schneider.

Depending on your exact sonic preference, there is lots to love here. Bass led, retro sounding stuff from Sven Tasnadi is for the back rooms, whilst Ninetoes is much more direct with his Desda offering. It is full of angsty techno energy, raw chords and slick drums that will have you up on your toes in no time. Sabb on the other hand offers a more slinky, smooth round the edges groove that will really get under your skin.

The big name to be added to the label for this is Anja Schneider, who runs her own empire with Mobilee and here serves up some deep, moody house that will keep the backrooms locked in. Sidney Charles is another big hitter who is never far from the Beatport charts and with his entry here he cooks up a retro styled number that has skip and swing in its bones and will make you do the same. All in all then this is another essential and trend setting package for Moon Harbour.
