Post punk band Underground System front man Peter Matson, who has recently teamed up with Razor N Tape man JKriv on a couple of productions and remixes, is making a return to Brooklyn’s Bastard Jazz Recordings which has been running since 2001.
‘The Right Way’ boasts an impressive list of collaborators, with ‘Call and Answer’ featuring Ibibio Sound Machine’s vocalist Eno Williams on the Afro-Disco workout. London’s Faze Action are back with a bang on the remix frontline flipping the title track towards their signature sound, where Afro beats meet proto house, with lashings of disco vibes. There are two instrumentals that include the slow building Italo burner ‘The Right Way’, and the more Balearic leaning ‘PB (Ça Va)’. Instrumental headz should stick to the digital issue of the release as the amazing Faze Action Instrumental will be included only there. Nevertheless this is an essential release which is worth a check!
