Antipodean-house from New Zealander Luke Walker on this strong double-header that fuses breaks with techno and electro. Whilst the combination is nothing new, the fluidity of the production is as exciting as the soundclash will allow. ‘Alias’ riding a near-‘Pump Up The Jam’ groove where clashing guitars stand in juxtapose to grungy electronica riffs. The inclusion of ‘Streak’, a vocal offering which similarly has a late ‘80s feel to it, should appeal to nostalgia freaks and nu school electroclash junkies alike.
