Not much info on the man in the cupboard but the cheeky sod’s had the fun idea to base a whole drug-track around the famous beat of C&C Music Factory’s ‘Gonna make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)’ – which was basically emulating Snap’s ‘The Power’. Years later that killer Miami groove still rocks like there’s no tomorrow and with a hooky spoken vocal on top (‘As far as I’m concerned music is music…’), you have in your hands a solid monster. 8-Bit Kid takes the now familiar electro-prog route but the original stands out effortlessly striking a perfect balance between yesterday and today.
