The ever prolific Monday has really got his jackin’ sound together and shows no sign of running out of steam – these days he can easily compete with the best. On his first EP for Kinky Vinyl, he goes one step further into electro-house with a couple of chemically enhanced bleepy groovers. Acid nags, nutty hooks, funky crisp beats, ‘Rumpfunk’ is going for it by offering an efficient combination of twisted acid and skippy tech-house (126 BPM). On the flip ‘Bumfunk’ is an hypnotic raw jam that pumps effortlessly (kinda Kraftwerk vs Deep Dish, 125). Our House aka Neil Anthony & Stu Hirst have produced ‘Drop Out’ a punchy groover with a Leftfield b-line. That was until the ex-Beat Foundation member took it deep and underground (think an after hours take on the Morales mix of ‘Plastic Dreams’).
