FRANGY/I’M FREE
PRIVATE REALITY/3 BEAT

When it comes to house music some japanese producers have a unequalled lyrical sensibility, grand and nostalgic, sad yet happy. In the vein of Hiroshi Watanabe’s sublime work the epic and well orchestrated ‘Frangy’ makes you feel as if you were swimming in liquid ecstasy (124 BPM). Like Frankie Knuckles’ ‘The Whistle Song’ (on steroids) it has the taste of misspent youth in balearic raves (inspired sunny progressive: piano, flute and firing stabs).
